Women in Exile & Friends are finishing their Summer Bus Tour 2016 in Berlin. Since 25th of July they have been visiting refugee women all over the country to fight for their rights and against the discrimination they face as women and as refugees. Berlin’s welcoming group for Women in Exile invites you to the rally when they arrive in Berlin!

Desde la Red Tras la Manta hemos visto cómo, durante los últimos días, ha aumentado la represión a nuestros compañeros del Sindicato Popular de Vendedores Ambulantes. El compañero Ndiaw Diakhompa fue hospitalizado e intervenido quirúrgicamente por la pierna que le rompió la Guardia Urbana de Barcelona el viernes pasado. Issa Seye, tras sufrir un montaje policial escandaloso, actualmente se encuentra en el Centro de Internamiento de Extranjeros de Barcelona, ciudad que supuestamente busca cerrar esta institución racista. Y hoy Lamine Sarr, portavoz del Sindicato Popular de Vendedores Ambulantes, fue detenido junto a seis compañeros en una operación de los Mossos d’Esquadra.

We want to create a space where you can all meet one another and adress issues that affect us and our communities – migration, state violence, racism, surveillance, lack of spaces/resources – and to build stronger networks across countries within europe (and outside of it, possibilities and resources permit.)
We will be offering workshops, screenings, performances, discussions, parties, food and spaces to just hang out. Events/talks/workshops will be organized around topics including but not limited to sexwork, queer and aging, the prison industrial complex, bdsm, hackathons, art and decolonial identity, non binary perspective of gender, music and migration.

The march will start atU Bahn M*straße and we will roughly walk 1.5 to 2 hours via Charlottenstraße, Rudi-Dutschke-Straße, Oranienstraße (with a stop at Oranienplatz), Kottbusser Damm until we reach Hermannplatz at around 8pm. At Herrmannplatz a speakers corner awaits and there will be music for us to get together until 11pm.

La 3° Edición de la Muestra Internacional de CineMigrante Barcelona, cine por la diversidad cultural, migración y derechos humanos se realizará en Barcelona del martes 12 de julio al domingo 17 de julio 2016, con entrada gratuita. A las proyecciones en sus sedes centrales se suma un itinerario de proyecciones al aire libre y cuatro encuentros o jornadas de debate junto a dos exposiciones fotográficas, intervenciones urbanas y talleres sobre defensa de derechos de las personas migrantes.
El edificio en el que trabaja el Espacio del Inmigrante en el Passatge Bernardí Martorell 2 en el barrio del Raval será desalojado por los Mossos de Escuadra, el día 13 de Julio del 2016. Ese edificio además de funcionar como vivienda para más de 15 familias, ha acogido el trabajo social y político del Espacio del Inmigrante desde hace cuatro años. Por esta razón hacemos un llamado público a lxs vecinxs de nuestro barrio, así como a otros colectivos sociales de Barcelona y medios de comunicación afines para apoyar y defender el Espacio del Inmigrante…
